President: Jimmy Jeffries
My Name is Jimmy Jeffries. I am running for president of Rockingham County Gun Club.
I joined the Rockingham County Gun Club in 2016, and over the years I have had the privilege of becoming actively involved in the club and serving its members.
In 2018, I was elected to the Board of Directors, where I served for five years. For the past three years, I have had the honor of serving as Vice President. I have also served as the club’s Equipment Manager for the past eight years. These positions have given me a good understanding of the responsibilities involved in keeping our club operating safely, efficiently, and in the best interest of our members.
As a member, I normally enjoy shooting pistol and some skeet. Being an active shooter as well as an officer has given me an appreciation for the different interests and needs of our membership.
I am running for President because I care about the future of the Rockingham County Gun Club. I believe our club is strongest when its members work together, communicate openly, and take pride in the facilities and organization we have built.
Vice President: Dylan Ellis
My name is Dylan Ellis and I am proud to announce my candidacy for Vice President of the Rockingham County Gun Club.
As a member since 2016 and current member of the Board of Directors, I have gained valuable experience and insight into our club and the needs of its members over the years. I have been around firearms all of my life and safety as well as safe handling has been instilled in me from a young age. I enjoy shooting of all types from handguns to rifle and most recently skeet and 5 stand. I always strive to do the best I can with any opportunity that is placed in my hands as well as help with what is needed to the very best of my ability.
Outside of the club I have some background in management and computer design and other computer work at my current place of employment at Clarolux Landscape Lighting where I have been for 5 years so I understand how policies should be followed to assure productivity. I believe in strong leadership, open communication, fairness, and working together to keep our club moving in the right direction. If elected, I will do my best to represent our members, support our club’s traditions, and help ensure a strong future for the Rockingham County Gun Club.
I would appreciate your vote and support and the chance to serve Rockingham County Gun Club as Vice President.
Thank you.
Vice President: Tommy Massey
I am a life-long resident of Rockingham County and a Life-Member of RCGC. I am married to my beautiful wife Deanna. We have four children and two grandchildren. I’ve enjoyed competing in Trap, Skeet, and IDPA events at RCGC over the years. Having retired from a career in management with AT&T in 2010 I decided to pursue a Divinity degree from The College at Southeastern in Wake Forest. My retirement was short-lived, as I became the Lead Pastor at Growing Oaks Community Church where I served for 10 years before taking over the family real estate firm in 2021.
Some of you may remember me as your Concealed Carry instructor. I have been teaching Concealed Carry Handgun for 20 years. In addition to being certified to teach CCH, I am a federally licensed firearm dealer, and hold several teaching certifications through the NRA. I have served several terms as a director over the years and if re-elected I will continue to support efforts to improve safety, facilities, and ranges while maintaining overall fiscal responsibility. I want to ensure that RCGC remains the preeminent gun club in North Carolina.
Director: John Dixon
I would like to apply as a candidate for Director on the RCGC leadership team. My name is John Dixon, and I have been a member of RCGC for a few years now. I am 52 years old and a resident of the City of Greensboro. I’ve been married for 16 years, and my wife and I are parents to a 13-year-old son.
I’ve been a recreational shooter since 1980, when my father introduced me to a .22 rifle at 6 years old. He later taught me how to reload shotshells when I was 10. I began metallic reloading when I was 16 and continue to this day. I enjoy all things firearms-related—if it has a trigger, it usually interests me.
I’m a Benefactor Life Member of the NRA (member number 133272625), although I joined back when their prominence wasn’t diminished by poor leadership from former executives. I’m a former career Fire Captain with the City of Greensboro and other career Fire Depts. I have graduate and undergraduate degrees from Pfeiffer University and UNC-Pembroke, respectively.
I’m interested in growing RCGC into a SAFE and popular shooting location that enables law-abiding citizens to sharpen their shooting skills and abilities.
Director: Bill Goga
I am seeking a position as a Director on the Rockingham County Gun Club Board.
I have been involved in competitive shooting for more than 10 years and have competed in over 500 documented matches across USPSA, IDPA, Steel Challenge, IPSC, Action Steel and Pro-Am competition. I have been a certified USPSA Range Officer for the past nine years and previously served for four years as Match Director for the Ancient City Practical Shooters Association in St. Augustine, Florida.
Since becoming involved at RCGC, I have enjoyed both competing and helping support our practical shooting program. I believe strongly in safe, well-run shooting programs and in creating an environment where both experienced competitors and newer shooters feel welcome.
Professionally, I am a Director with The Fresh Market, where I am responsible for Asset Protection, Safety, Physical Security and Facility Maintenance across more than 170 locations. I lead multiple teams and am responsible for areas including safety, facilities, security, budgeting, vendor management, policy development and large-scale projects. Much of my role involves bringing people with different responsibilities and priorities together to solve problems and get things accomplished.
I believe the combination of my shooting experience, range-safety background, match leadership and professional experience would allow me to make a meaningful contribution to RCGC. I am particularly interested in helping the club continue to improve its facilities, safety programs, shooting activities and overall member experience while being responsible with the club's resources.
RCGC has a great membership and provides an important resource for the shooting community. I would welcome the opportunity to give back to the club and help ensure it remains strong for years to come.
Thank you for considering me for a Director position.

Director: Michael Hatfield
My name is Michael Hatfield and I would like to seek a position on the Board of Directors. I am a past Board member and former Director of the Skeet fields. While the Skeet Director I headed up the replacement of all of our old trap machines with brand new ones and all of them were upgraded to wireless operation along with the capability for a single person to operate the trap via a mic attached to the remote thus eliminating the need to buy a ERAD to be able to do so. I was instrumental in getting the Concrete walkways for the fields and the new Skeet house. While on the board we managed the clubs finances to become debt free and paid the club house off early and upgraded our water system with a new well. I took several years off to care for my sick mother and I am at a point now to where I would like to serve our members again by being on the board.
Director: Romeo Piersanti
Dear Fellow RCGC Members,
I have been a member at RCGC in good standing for almost 13 Years. I've been on the Board of Directors for 9 of those years. Helping to make RCGC one of the Premiere shooting Clubs in the Southeast has been my goal since joining RCGC. Giving New Members their firearm safety check at Orientations has been one of my Priorities. I have helped with our IDPA style pistol matches and tabulated and posted scores on the club website, keeping score at many trap matches , along with many projects since joining.
Please consider me for another 3 year term on the Board. Thanks
Have Fun and be Safe,
Romeo Piersanti
Director: Will Robbins
Serving on the Board of Directors will be a privilege for me.
I am stepping away from a 40 year career in wholesale lumber sales and turning over the reins to my son. Over the years I have served various non profit organizations and will gladly do so again. I am an active and avid upland game hunter and enjoy Trap plus plan on gaining some proficiency in Skeet. I shoot pistols and rifles sporadically at RCGC and do have a good basic knowledge of all facets of the club’s operations. I am energetic to serve the club in any capacity that is needed.
Thank you,
Will Robbins

Director: Joel White
Hello,
My name is Joel White. I'm currently finishing my first term as a board member and am asking for your vote for a second term. I’ll be 67 this year and have been involved with shooting and hunting for nearly all my life. I currently work as a toolmaker for Ruger in Mayodan and have 40+ years experience as a machinist / toolmaker along with some gunsmithing here and there. I’ve been a RCGC member since 2016.
We have a very rare thing in RCGC, a place of this quality doesn’t happen very often and I’d like to continue playing a part in maintaining and growing this organization. I will try to do my best to reflect the quality I see here.
Thank you, Joel
