Greetings to all and yes we will be holding a registered trapshoot in February. Normally the schedule doesn't crank up until April or May. Looks like the weather will cooperate so come out and shoot or if you would like to help that would be great.

The BIG50 shoot format was created to allow folks to compete along with registered ATA shooters. It offers 50 16 yard targets, 50 handicap targets, and 25 pair of doubles. You can shoot one event or all three it is up to you.

Holding these events early in the target year allows shooters to register birds that might be required to avoid being penalized at the larger state shoots. It also allows trap staff to work any bugs out prior to the larger matches. 

If you want to compete come on out or if you just want to observe the event in progress we can answer your questions. RCGC is the only club in the state that can run 6 competition traps other than the NC home grounds with 17 fields.
