25th Anniversary Celebration, Annual Swap Meet AND Picnic

Mark your calendars now for Sunday September 12th. We will be having our 25th Anniversary Celebration, Annual Swap Meet and Club Picnic. Special events are being planned for all age groups. Events are FREE to club members and their families. Your ticket is your membership ID badge. You must preregister. Contact LilA@rockinghamcountygunclub.com We need prize donations and volunteers.
Events on the Rifle Range will begin at 10:00 AM. Wayne will be holding a "Buck Buster" "Top Shot" challenge. Plans are to hold 5 events starting at 10:00 AM. They will be held every 30 minutes with the final match at 12:00. Top shooters from the first 4 events will have a final match at High noon for the top honors. Prizes are being donated. This is a two shot event and only hunting (sporter) rifles in deer calibers will be allowed. Roy and Phil will be on hand with information and examples of score matchs and NBRSA matches.
The Ladies ONLY Pistol Match will begin at 2:00 PM. Prizes have been donated for this event as well.

Concealed Carry Handgun Class
Saturday Oct 23th at 8:00 AM
RCGC is proud to offer a Concealed Carry Handgun class to members and members of their immediate families, at a greatly reduced rate. Participants who successfully complete the class will receive a certificate which will allow them to apply for an NC-CCH permit. The next one-day, 9-hour course will be held on Sat., Oct 23th and is open to the first 15 people who sign up. The course, which will be taught by certified instructor, Tommy Massey, will begin at 8:00 AM SHARP, and end at 5:30 PM. There will be a short break for lunch. Bring your own lunch and drinks. (The nearest place for take-out is the Ruffin Grill.) The course handbook and targets will be provided. Bring $40 cash or a check made payable to RCGC. You will need your club ID badge in order to register. Also bring an UNLOADED handgun (a rental will be available for $10), holster, at least 30 rounds of ammunition plus hearing and eye protection.
